Lena Kanellou is a post-doctoral research collaborator at the Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology, Hellas (ICS-FORTH). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete and went on to earn a MSc on System-on-Chip Design from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, and a PhD in Computer Science with focus on Distributed Computing, from the University of Rennes 1, France. Although her focus has had a gamut ranging from hardware to software throughout her career, her interests have consistently stayed on computer architectures and in how innovations in it affect and shape what is computationally possible. Since 2020, Lena has been part of the Greek National Competence Center for HPC, working on promoting the adoption of HPC in Greece.
