
Research Associate at the Lifelong Learning Programs of the University of the Aegean, Innovation in Education Expert
Dr Ilona-Elefteryja Lasica received her BSc. in “Digital Systems” (2010) and M.Sc. in “Technology Education and Digital Systems” (Track: e-Learning) (2012) from the Department of Digital Systems University of Piraeus, Greece. She received a scholarship for Ph.D. study by the European University Cyprus in the field of Innovation in STEM education.
She has been a Research Associate at the University of the Aegean since 2021, while she also teaches at the M.Sc. Program “New Forms of Education & Learning” and at a number of training programs at the Lifelong Learning Programs of the Lifelong Learning Center at the University of the Aegean. Since 2011, she has been involved in many EU funded research projects, collaborating as an expert with a range of educational and research organizations in Greece and Cyprus, such as the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, NCSR “Demokritos”, Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation, Hellenic Open University, Technical Chamber of Greece, National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP), European University Cyprus, Panteion University, Institute of Educational Policy, Hellenic Confederation of Professionals Craftsmen and Merchants (GSEVEE), etc.
Her research interests focus on Technology Enhanced Learning, Innovation in STEM Education, Vocational Education and Lifelong Learning, Teachers’ Professional Development and Emerging Technologies in Education. Her research accomplishments include several articles and papers in international conferences and academic journals.
