After his PhD in the field of micro and nanotechnologies, Paul during his 5 years of experience as a technical team leader in a consulting company helping start-ups, SMEs and large groups get funds for innovation and R&D. He had joined Opticsvalley — the Paris area cluster in photonics and DeepTech — in March 2015; his main tasks were related to supporting companies from the Ile-de-France region involved in the optics/photonics domain, all along their development cycle, finding solutions to technical issues, stimulating collaboration and growth, technology transfer and the emergence of innovative projects. He has been in charge of realizing market and technology studies in different application domains of photonics technologies for the organization and its members; he worked with more than 100 SMEs and start-ups and helped them find solutions related to their business development and innovation projects. Paul has been until March 2019 the Head of the Business and Innovation team at Opticsvalley, where he was particularly charged of reinforcing the Business and Innovation service offer of the cluster and supporting its members to find business and innovation opportunities, as well as public and private funding. From 2019 to 2022 Paul helped Iceberg+, a Romanian based consulting company, join European projects; he designed and implemented 2 collaborative EU projects on behalf of the company: www.dt2invest.com and www.leadership4smes.eu. Paul created Booster Labs in 2021 with the mission to support deep-tech startups scale at the European level.
