It all began in 1914 when Athanasios Papapostolou founded the company in Thessaloniki bearing his name. Even during the difficult years of the occupation, the founder and his associates provided their fellow humans with all the resources available at the time to address health issues. At the same time, they equipped medical centers, Hospitals, and clinics with the equipment that the technology of the time could offer.
With the end of World War II, a true revolution in medical diagnosis and care took place. Much of the technology developed by the military industry was transferred after the war to manufacture equipment for the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of human health.
This was the time that PAPAPOSTOLOU adopted technology and pioneered the introduction of innovative medical equipment to the Greek market.
Indicatively, installed the first ultrasound device, Ecoline10, at EVAGGELISMOS Hospital, installed the first digital gamma camera, Pegasus, in Europe, at Theagenio Cancer Hospital in Thessaloniki, installed the first digital mammography with tomosynthesis, Selenia Hologic, in a private clinic in Athens, and more.
Meanwhile, the company organized and maintains a substantial, high-standard Technical Support Department with outstanding performances, ensuring the continuous operation of the equipment installed in Hospitals, achieving 99% uptime.
