The Association of Private Clinics of Greece (SIKE) was founded in 2012 and constitutes the body that represents Private Clinics that have been legally established and operate throughout the country.
The purpose of the Association of Private Clinics of Greece is the study, protection, support, and promotion of the economic and professional interests of its members, as well as the safeguarding, recognition, and establishment of their rights. Through its Board of Directors, it represents its members before public and private institutions. Another key purpose of the Association is the continuous support of its members for the better organization and operation of Clinics through educational workshops, seminars, and the further training of their scientific staff.
The members of the Association of Private Clinics of Greece include 33 General Clinics, 11 Mixed Clinics, and 8 Specialized Clinics in both the Internal Medicine and Surgical sectors. Altogether, SIKE clinics provide 3,130 hospital beds, serve more than 100,000 patients annually, and perform over 50,000 surgical procedures each year. The member clinics of SIKE offer primary and secondary healthcare services, equipped with the latest technology and staffed with highly trained and specialized scientific personnel. SIKE member clinics employ more than 3,000 professionals and collaborate with over 1,500 physicians across all specialties.
SIKE member clinics are located across the entire country, providing specialized medical and nursing services from Thrace and Macedonia to Crete and the islands of the Aegean and Ionian Seas. The SIKE clinics are independent, not belonging to corporate groups or foreign funds, and are contracted with the National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) as well as with other insurance funds, with their primary goal being the most effective and immediate care of patients.
