HERMES Team is the largest student research team in Greece specializing in robotics for medical applications, operating under the auspices of the University of Thessaly in Volos. The team focuses on developing a fully functional robotic exoskeleton for individuals with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), enabling them to meet basic daily needs.
The team aims to continue participating in the international CYBATHLON competition hosted by ETH Zurich, specifically in the “Exoskeleton Race” category, marking the first Greek participation. CYBATHLON’s mission is to promote the development of assistive technologies with a human-centered approach, enhancing the quality of life for people with mobility challenges.
With the support of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Thessaly, HERMES Team moves forward dynamically, driving technological innovation and continuous improvement.
